MacConvilles London becomes Cubit Consulting

August 2008

On the 1st August 2008 the trading name for MacConvilles London was changed to Cubit Consulting.

Of the name change, David Harding, Director, said “with the firm establishment of the company and it now operating in not only London but throughout the Home Counties and UK we felt it time to establish a new company identity untying the company from the MacConvilles name.  Why Cubit?  Well, a cubit is one of the earliest ever forms of measurement being the distance from the elbow to fingertips.  This being the way that our forefathers specified and built in Noah’s Ark and how land was historically measured”. 

Martin Aarons added “we decided on the name due to its historical connection and relevance to the property and construction industry.  It’s a simple and straight forward word that perfectly captures the way that we like our customers to feel about undertaking business with us.  Whilst we are not as old as the Ark we have a wealth of experience and knowledge that enables us to provide the high level of services our clients and associates rightly demand”.
